We were very excited to see it after watching the original dDe Medici series. But the directing and the way the story is being told was so poor we just can't watch anymore. It reminded me of Eola Holmes where the main character, pauses to talk to the camera. That may be okay in a satirical comedy but for me it doesn't work in a historical drama. The screenplay itself was very weak. This could have been a really good story but it was very poorly done.
